Individual Psychotherapy

Looking for individual psychotherapy in Toronto? Something brought you here. Maybe you know exactly what it is, or maybe it’s harder to name: a restlessness, a pattern you keep finding yourself in, a sense that you’re living at a distance from yourself.
In individual psychotherapy sessions, I listen more than I speak. My analytical mind, intuition, and solid knowledge work together. I am patient to allow the fuller picture to unfold. While not all of our experience is worded, conversation is our means of working. Words are the tool, but ultimately, change is lived.
My approach is rooted in psychodynamic and psychoanalytic theory — working with what lies beneath the surface: the early experiences, relational patterns, and emotional habits that quietly shape how you move through the world. Additionally, I work with a deep knowledge of Internal Family Systems (IFS), a framework that helps make sense of the inner conflicts that pull us in different directions. My personal individual and training group therapy provided a very solid foundation, further expanded through years of clinical experience. I also incorporate current developments in neuroscience and cognitive therapy in my sessions.
Each client brings a whole new world of experience to me. Although I am familiar with certain issues, what you are going through is unique to you. In this sense, everything you bring to therapy is fresh to me. I learn together with you, and together we work toward you becoming more authentic, alive, and open.
